Kadizora Camp

Lodge style Lavish in safari luxury

A personal treat

The northern areas of the Okavango Delta feature larger expanses of savannahs punctuated by lagoons and tributaries. It is on the banks of this beautiful spot a magnificent site has been selected for Kadizora Camp. Set on a strip of land surrounded by rich Okavango Delta waters, this camp is designed to afford each luxury tent, absolute privacy. The staff of this new, small camp goes out of its way to make guests feel comfortable and at home. Hosts Sue and Greg are welcoming and informative (plus: they have a great sense of humor), and not only do they know the ins and outs of this area, they also understand the value of true hospitality. You will be pampered with hot towels, delicious meals, bush tales, factoids, excellent game drives, fresh sheets, sundowners and much more. Resident elephant Franklin agrees, since he loves to spend time around Kadizora Camp too. An exclusive safari experience, only possible in a small, luxurious camp: that is why you visit this gem in the Okavango Delta.

Kadizora presents ten luxury tents, each with generous living spaces and decorated with sophisticated furnishings – assuring that, between exciting Okavango Delta safari experiences, you can make yourself comfortable and let tranquility come over you. The tents have an elegant and colonial feel and all extend out to a private deck. Your personal deck is where you will treasure precious moments, when you look out over extensive floodplains and hear hippos ‘chatting’ in the Delta waters. Then, you will quickly realise what an exceptional trip this is. Beside great views and comfortable beds, the tents come with all the frills you need: en‐suite bathroom with a feature bath, two vanities and an outdoor shower. Guest areas are great for socializing, story-swapping with other safari-enthusiasts, reading, sharing cocktails, and, of course, excellent dinners in the boma - under countless stars.

Activities at Kadizora Camp

Kadizora Camp is located in a private concession of the Okavango Delta, and that comes with many benefits: fewer vehicles, the possibility to go off road, and a high density of wildlife. Kadizora Camp offers morning and afternoon game drives in comfortable, open vehicles, guided by knowledgeable rangers and trackers. Another way to see a different side of the bush is during a walking safari. Without the ‘boundaries’ of a vehicle, the Okavango Delta will open up in a whole new perspective. Being in a unique delta-area, you cannot leave without gliding through the crystal clear waters. So, in addition to open vehicle and walking safaris, mokoro excursions (in a traditional canoe) provide the ideal position from which to explore the endless flow of rivers and tributaries. This tranquil experience - no engines, no noise - permits close encounters with an abundance of bird and wildlife. Leisurely float along the channels, slow down your pace, and let the staff take care of everything else; that is what personal luxury is all about.

Tripadvisor comments Kadizora Camp

Staying at Kadizora was the highlight of our trip! It is a beautiful camp with luxurious amenities and a wonderful staff. We were warmly welcomed and well taken care of. Our game drives were the highlight with a very friendly and knowledgeable guide. This is a destination not to be missed!

This is 5 star camping with all the add ons! The location is on a penninsular so water one side and the African plain the other. The camp is marvellous, the food and service very good but the highlight for us was the animals. We saw more animals in larger herds at a closer range than any other camp or lodge. The whole experience of being up close and personal with so many animals is worth every penny! The only down side is that the airstrip is about 50 minutes away but in reality the staff build than in as part of the experience. I would thoroughly recommend Kadizora Camp to anyone interested in a true African experience.
